Niseko averages 15 meters of snow per year, do I need to explain more? New addition to the course calendar for 2018. The Niseko course includes 12 full days riding (10 guided) with the option of snowshoe hiking the famous Mount Yotei for a descent never to be forgotten. There are 4 main resorts based in Niseko and several other smaller local resorts which will all be tried and tested. Powder lap after powder lap, all with chair access, night time powder riding and then relaxing in one of the many local onsen’s will be just some of the highlights.
I have chosen to stay in the impressive country resorts 4 bedroom chalet, Tenryu. This allows us to relax and spread out over the 12 nights without feeling cooped up in a hotel room for 2 weeks. Evening meals will be a mix of sampling a variety of local restaurants and the occasional team meal cooked in.
Logistics (January 2018)
Flights need to be timed to arrive in Sapporo Chitose by early afternoon on the 4th January. From Sapporo we will have our own minibus transfer to Niseko and will keep this vehicle to use for the duration of the course. This gives us plenty of flexibility on a daily basis as to where we choose to ride. After finishing a full days riding on the 15th January, we will return back to Sapporo in the evening and arrange accommodation for the night before flying out on the 16th January.
- Minibus rental for duration of course plus return transfers to/from Sapporo Chitose
- 10 full days guiding + coaching
- 12 day lift pass
- 12 nights accommodation (based on twin sharing)
- Avalanche safety equipment if required + snowshoes
- Airport hotel on the final night
